The Roller Beetle is the 6th mount in GW2 you can acquire by simply doing the collection and achievements associated with Season 4 Episode 3 of Living World. There is no gold sink other than 3 collections you have to do that can take a few hours to complete. It is a fast mount, capable of traversing over terrain in a short amount of time by using the boost (spacebar).

Wow, not even a day and already a guide’s up. Thanks, Dulfy!

  • Atlas

    Hi Dulfy,

it looks like you have here a formatting issue, the whole article is visible on your GW2 front page. Most probably you defined the full article as header text.

But anyway, thanks for the guide!

  • Sahron Bone

At the bounty part . which bounty is it exactly?

    • Aria of the FENG

      i guess any will do.

    • Concerned Dog

      Any will do.

  • lemon_cookies

note: After completing Forearmed is Forewarned story instance, then talk to Spearmarshal Zaeim, then Gorrik.

  • Daniel Schmidt

“Contain Scarab outbreaks in Domain of Kourna. These event occurs near\ the Front Line area. It is an event where you use your mount to run over\ Scarab mounds.” I did this Event 3 times and didnt get anything. Is it random?

    • Quisquiliae Pandam

I got in in the first run through. 4 runs through my wife got it. So I tend to think there is a level of RNG in a number of the achievements.

    • Chez_Helen

Apparently the Scarab Egg in the Meta event is also RNG, some people are having to do this numerous times to get the item, I have done it twice with no luck yet.

  • Raizel

It’s unfair that many people still can’t complete Forearmed mission due to bugs while others did it smoothly.

    • Keres

I downloaded the Taco update from Tekkit today, and the only thing I see are the cache farms and harvesting.

      • Keres

Scratch that, I’m just blind. The icons are there, just no paths. And nicely notated with numbers for the stages too. Tekkit does it again 🙂

  • i hatechosingnames

Don’t suppose there is a taco path pack for these yet?

    • Guest

There is actually. Check on Tekkit’s site

  • Manwithtwohands

Wow, anet is really milking the concept of fetch quests and carrots on a stick. gj

    • Shaggy

weve come a long way from the fetch quests of yesteryear’s mmos though. who can forget quests where you had to kill hundreds of the exact same creature to collect ingredients for arbitrary shit?

      at least this has variety.

  • KJ

Beetle Juice achievement should be repeatable up to 3 times.

  • Zennoby

Aaaaaand, if you DID wander around the map after talking to the spearmarshal (like me), then Gorrik will brush you off and you can’t advance.\ What now?

    • Dulfy

Just progress with the story and you will get the chance to do it again

      • Ainseland

datz crazy,,, well typical anet bug we juz need 2 deal with it 4 da sake of new mount

      • Zennoby

        Thanks, that worked.

  • Ainseland

datz a long @zz quest/collection almost like black desert online quest

    • edward hughes

1 hour and i had 2 out of 3 collections done and the last one i dot see taking more than 1.5 hours

    • hmm

At least it’s not time-gated this time and you don’t need to fork out 250g.

    • Mr. Principal

Finished all 3 collections in \~5-6 hours.. (I had to take a break from playing to rest..fever sux..!)

  • Doghouse

Get the Junundu drop at Junundu Hatchery down in the bottom right. Way easier than waiting for hours to pick off a single worm before someone else does. Vet worms spawning all the time, and like wolves they spawn a couple of non-vets (which CAN also drop the food – had it happen on one of my two accounts).

  • Luna

Sand Jackal Run WP is a great place to grab the Junundu Ichor. I found a vet that spawned very quickly between the platform and the big rock south of the wp then moves onto the rock – took two tries, but it spawned so quickly that I think I got it in less than a couple of minutes. This is a great guide – thanks, Dulfy!

  • Evan Sarver

I think the Junundu Hatchery POI is a better place to get the Junundu Ichor. It’s loaded with worms and has handy platforms to kill them from. Went to your suggested location, and the spawn rate was awful, and every time one spawned it was dead before I could reach it due to all the sulpher.

  • Joshua Bultman

Hey all on the Beetle Saddle Collection i just killed a Veteran Golem mark l and i got the item i need for collection for the beetle doesn’t seem it has to only be a mark ll it can also be a mark l. Good Hunting All!!!!!

  • korval

Don’t say Beetle Juice three times.

  • Brad Allison

“You will defeat the big golem boss and then have to destroy 11 of the\ Plague Experiments. Killing any one of these experiments will give you\ the item.”

    That’s incorrect. It’s a random drop.

I killed 3 experiments and got NOTHING.

    • prudence

Yes, that happened to me too. This is the last item in my beetle feed collection and I still can’t get it 🙁 I did the meta 3x

    • Erasus

Thats correct, you need only one.

  • Djinn

Hearty Beetle Slime: kill all the Giant Beetles in the area to spawn a Champion Giant Beetle which will give the food on death.

  • Nicki

YAY! Finished mine tonight! Thank you, Dulfy! <3

  • Edward Durbin

Pete doesnt show next to gorrick after turning in last quest.. where is he?

  • Александр Смирнов

    5. Plagued Struts

Dropped by golems in the Domain of Kourna. There is a single Veteran\ Mark II golem that spawns right in front of the Gates to Gandara.

theres an error, its Mark 1

  • Ayakaru

    9. Untested Speed Serum\ whelp

wasted 20 minutes of my life trying to figure it out by the hints..\ it was in a different region altogether

  • Voshi

Beetle feed 4. Hearty Beetle Slime. The alpha beetle has been updated to a champion beetle to give people more chance to tag it

  • ƒukengrüven

I’m going to name mine “Ringo”

  • Moirrainefortruth

I absolutely don’t get training this thing.

  • BrownieC

About the “Junundu Ichor” drop: I actually got mine in Vabbi.\ West of Vehtendi Academy waypoint in Kaluun Ravine at the Junundu Nests POI. No sand to worry about and very easy.

  • Uno

For Hearty Beetle Slime: the event starts after killing the giant beetle, they no longer spawn randomly.

  • Kara

For anyone else who was confused by the skritt tunnel system like I was, the camp resolve leads you to the central silver waste tunnel and from there you go up to the north north skritt tunnel and that will take you to the far silverwaste

    • Bpb

can also just jump over the walls with a bunny and ignore the tunnels

  • Darth Shepard-Picard

I’ve done the leyline anomaly thing twice now and no dice with the item. Do I need to do something specific to get it or should I just keep doing the event until the gods smile upon me?

  • Theijar

    5. Plagued Struts: The Golem can be any Golem (except the one that appears at the end of the meta at the Inquest Lab), I got mine at the end of an event (Repurpose the golem), after killing the Golem mini boss at the end. Also some Golems spawn close to the pylon when the meta activates them

  • Supreme Kek

Collection 3 Item 4. Hearty Beetle Slime -> Can also kill the Champion Spotted Beetle at the opposite side of the “Far Silverwastes”

  • DarkAlchemist

Far too many meta events/world events for this stupid mount.

    • Erasus

Nice way to announce your stupidity to world retard, like this is easily done in one day and you still bitch about it? You need one bounty and two frequent event (one is even meta) and still its too many? I guess braindead person like you cant really do anything else besides running to point marked on map so its now “stupid mount”.

      • DarkAlchemist

I stand by what I said but you carry on fairy.

        • Erasus

Hahaha standing by what? You are not standing on what you said because you just got wrecked by facts. I carry on fairy tale where you actually not totally wrong.

        • James Stanton

          Easy, dont play, whinger.

          • DarkAlchemist

I don’t anymore since I posted so go suck a large one cream pie.

      • Ashley Miller

        reported

    • wQnxy

Holy fck! How dare anet to force you to play the game?! You should definitelly quit and ask for the refund!

  • Ex Razzer

I’ve made a fast video guide with help of this page if some1 prefers videos over text 🙂\

  • James Stanton

    Awesome as always! TYVM.

  • Plasma007

Veteran Alpha Beetle has been patched to a Champion. plan accordingly

    • Mad

As of 2.06.2019 can confirm it’s true, but for a champion, it has literally 2 attacks and both have insanely long windup. Managed to solo it with thief on 2 pistols without even dodging – shouldn’t be problem to anyone owning ranged weapon.

  • Jeremy

How am i supposed to get in the fortress without dying from the poison? (2.)

    • Boi Boi

you only can get inside when the meta is up

  • Frankie Lauch

for the champion alpha beetle, you need to kill the neutral giant beetle up on the ledge at the top left corner of far silverwaste twice to trigger. at least it worked for me.

  • André

On part- 6. Frigid Wurm Goo you should mention that people DON’T really need to have a Jackal lv 3(like I thought) to get at the location, is just having one will make the way faster. Tomorrow I’ll get my beetle thanks for the guide.
